Thanks for asking! So far so good in the city, moving in gradually. The apt looks adorable and our neighborhood is just amazing. I hope to be working in a bar soon, we’ll see. One new pic was added yesterday and possibly more to come this summer!

Thanks for the message! I am going to be 25 years old at the end of May. Interests include playing/listening to/talking about all sorts of music, outdoors/camping/fishing, fashion and culture, beer and/or whiskey and/or bud, and just partying and having a great time with friends! For the next few days I live in Minneapolis, but as of next week I will officially live in the wonderful city of San Francisco with my partner. Oliver is not my boyfriend, but a really, REALLY great friend of mine. I bar tend for my real job and I actually just trained Oliver in as my replacement and I am very excited for him. I know your blog isn't an advice column but I don't know who better to ask. I moved to Mpls in June with Kenny and I'm 19. Since he is so much older it feels hard to fit in with his group of friends. I just can't seem to make friends with people on Grindr, Growlr, Scruff, etc. I'm super shy and socially awkward.lol

The easy answer is to not try so hard to befriend people who aren’t trying just as hard to befriend you.

And as far as the shy and socially awkward thing, I’ve met you before. A few times, and you’ve always been kind and super sweet, and socially capable, so I know that’s not true. When I was 19 and I moved to Minneapolis, I started dating a guy who was near 30 and NO ONE took me seriously. It’s kind of sad, but when you turn 21 and you can go to bars, everyone’s perspective switches on you and, because you can throw back a beer legally, they see you as an adult. I’ve always been extremely social and sort of precocious so it really aggravated me at first that people were short and unfriendly with me because of my age. Just give it time, and be unapologetically you, and you’ll find them acting like your best friend in no time. If you can’t make friends with people on Grindr, Growlr, or Scruff, I challenge you to go to an 18+ night or a bear coffee or a movie bear night and make friends IN PERSON! It’s so much easier!
